Simple Potato Tuna Dish
The other night I was trying to figure out simple dish I can make for dinner.
I didn’t have any meat in the fridge and I didn’t want to make another pasta dish.
My children love tuna and there is always few tuna cans in my pantry. I decided to experiment with easy tuna dish. I heard of simple dish called Tuna Casserole, but I never made it.
I wanted my tuna dish to be quick, easy and simple dish. I didn’t want to make it with noodles. That’s been done. Instead I chose potatoes for my tuna bake.
Potato Tuna Bake. Sounds great, but what’s next. It’s true I was going for simple dish, but I needed something more to make my tuna dish edible and tasty.
That something more that made this Potato Tuna Bake a winner was sour cream, heavy cream, red peppers and Gruyere cheese.
This Simple Potato Tuna Dish serves 4.

Drain tuna.

In a bowl combine together tuna, sour cream, heavy cream, lemon juice, green onions, red pepper, cheese and dill. Mix together till well combined. Salt and pepper to taste.
Layer half of cooked potatoes onto the bottom of baking pan. Salt and pepper. Spread tuna mixture evenly on top. Cover with layer of remaining potatoes.
Bake for 15 minutes. Take the tuna dish out of the oven and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
I served my Potato Tuna Bake with fresh garden salad.
It turned out great. It was very simple dish to make and I made it under 30 minutes.

A very interesting take. I like tuna, I like potatoes, and I like all things dairy, so this might be something I’d like to make and eat.
Thanks for the comment from FF. This is an interesting recipe. I would have never thought to pair potatoes with tuna. I will have to give it a try. Have a happy Friday.
