Hamburger Helper Meets Mac ‘n’Cheese
I am not a big fan of Hamburger Helper or Kraft Dinner Mac’n'Cheese. There is something about food coming out of the box and the sauces and cheese coming in a form of a powder that turns me off.
On the other hand, my children love it. So occasionally I give in and make them dinner out of the box.
The other night I was thinking how to satisfy their “boxed food” craving and how to feed them a decent meal at the same time.
It took little imagination and under 20 minutes I had a great meal on a table. I admit I ate it myself and it was GOOD.

Imagine Hamburger Helper meets Kraft Dinner Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
Ingredients:
- 1lbs Lean Ground Beef
- 1 pkg Kraft Velveeta Shells & Cheese
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Water
- 2 cups Red Peppers or other fresh vegetables (chopped)
In a skillet brown the ground beef. Drain the fat.
Add the pasta shells from Velveeta package. Add milk and water. Stir it well. Bring it to boil.
Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Add the peppers or other vegetable and let it simmer for another 5 minutes or until everything is done.
Remove from the heat and stir in the Velveeta cheese sauce until well combined and creamy.
Serve and enjoy!

Way to go adding the red bell pepper. They are my favorite. I am going to have to give this a try!
