10 Ways To Use Baking Soda

Baking Soda or Soda Bicarbonate is a well known staple in every household. We all use in 2 ways:

  • Baking
  • Keeping Fridge and Freezer Odor Free

Many of us know that Baking Soda can be used in many other ways, but how many of us actually use it.

We can use Baking Soda as a great alternative to many household products that contain chemicals. Not only it will save us some hard earn cash, but we will do our little bit to help the environment at the same time.

  1. Use Baking Soda to deodorize Fluffy’s Litter Box – just sprinkle some Soda on top of fresh Kitty Litter (no need to buy the more expensive litter with deodorizers).
  2. If the old garbage can is stinking up your kitchen wash it out with Baking Soda.
  3. The recipe calls for Baking Powder, but you are out. Sift together 2 parts of Cream of Tartar , 1 part of Cornstarch and 1 part of Baking Soda.
  4. You have guests coming over for dinner, but your silverware is looking shabby. Put some Baking Soda onto a damp cloth and polish it. Then just rinse and dry.
  5. To freshen your breath and clean your mouth just add 1/2 teaspoon of Baking Soda into 1/2 glass of water and gargle.
  6. Switch your bathroom cleaner for some Baking Soda on a damp sponge to wipe your tiles, sink, tub and even shower doors. Rinse.
  7. To eliminate odor from sneakers, boots, stinky slippers and shoes just sprinkle some Baking Soda inside.
  8. Make a paste from Baking Soda and water to relieve discomfort from insect bites, Poison Ivy and rash.
  9. If your dishwasher is starting to get that funky smell just sprinkle some Baking Soda on the bottom and leave the door ajar a bit.
  10. You burned the dinner and now there is a thick layer of burned food on the bottom of your pan. Just cover the bottom with a layer of Baking Soda, add enough water just to moisten it and let sit overnight. Scrub with easy in the morning.
